IAAA (Identification, Authentication, Authorization, Auditing)
The four-stage frame access management runs on — who you claim to be, proving it, deciding what you may do, and recording what happened — with auditing cutting across the other three rather than sitting after them.
aka: IAAA
Identification is the claim (“I’m Sara”), authentication is the proof (a factor that backs the claim), and authorization is the decision (what Sara, now confirmed, is allowed to do). Auditing isn’t a fourth stage after the first three — it’s transversal, recording what happened at every stage so the whole chain can be reconstructed later.
