Birthright Access
Access granted automatically to every identity in a population, purely from its attributes — email, intranet, VPN — never copied from a colleague.
Birthright access is the opposite of “access cloning,” the anti-pattern where a new hire is granted whatever a colleague in a similar-sounding role already has — which silently inherits years of that colleague’s accumulated exceptions and privilege creep along with the legitimate baseline.
